La actriz Anne Hathaway, candidata al Óscar por "Rachel Getting Married" (2008), se vio envuelta en un accidente de tráfico de escasas consecuencias cuando el vehículo en el que viajaba impactó con un ciclista, informó hoy la revista People.
El choque se produjo la tarde del miércoles cuando la intérprete se desplazaba por una de las calles de West Hollywood, en Los Ángeles, y su automóvil se estrelló con una bicicleta sin que se produjeran heridos graves.
La policía, que abrió una investigación rutinaria sobre los hechos, estimó que el vehículo no cometió infracción alguna al intentar dar un giro y que el ciclista se abalanzó sobre el automóvil, tal y como comentaron algunos testigos.
Los servicios médicos de emergencia acudieron hasta el lugar del incidente, pero el ciclista rechazó sus cuidados y continuó su recorrido con algunas magulladuras.
Anne Hathaway, de 27 años, logró a principios de 2009 su primera nominación para un Óscar por el filme "Rachel Getting Married", si bien era conocida anteriormente por películas como "The Devil Wears Prada" y "The Princess Diaries" (2001).
