Responsables de aduanas de Reino Unido publicaron el viernes una advertencia antes de la Navidad, tras requisar versiones falsas de las consolas de juegos de Nintendo con adaptadores eléctricos potencialmente peligrosos.
"En el mejor de los casos, esas consolas podrían llevar a una decepción la mañana de Navidad. En el peor caso, podrían causar un daño serio o heridas", dijo Pamela Rogers, del servicio de Aduanas de Su Majestad.
Los productos, versiones de Nintendo DS y DS Lite que fueron comprados en páginas de internet principalmente con sede en Asia, cuestan unas 40 libras en lugar de las usuales 100 libras.
Rogers advirtió a la gente que tome precauciones cuando compre tales artículos online, diciendo que deberían usar sitios de reputación o regulados.
"Estamos pidiendo a todos los padres preocupados que sean diligentes (...) cuando una ganga parezca demasiado buena para ser verdad, a menudo ese es el caso", dijo Mike Rawlinson, director general de la compañía de investigación de fraude de Nintendo.
