La agencia EFE ha llegado a un acuerdo con la compañía estadounidense de tecnología Attributor para distribuir en Iberoamérica y en los mercados hispanos de EEUU una herramienta informática que permitirá a sus clientes hacer un seguimiento en Internet de la información que generan y luchar de manera eficiente contra la piratería.
La solución informática, desarrollada por Attributor, permite que cualquier entidad productora de contenidos -medios de comunicación, empresas e instituciones- pueda controlar de forma automática y en tiempo real quién publica sus textos en Internet y comprobar si han sido acreditados correctamente y si se han relacionado con publicidad.
De esta forma, los clientes que cuenten con esta herramienta podrán tomar medidas para controlar la publicación y generar oportunidades de negocio.
Además de ofrecer un nuevo servicio de valor añadido, la alianza suscrita con Attributor sitúa a EFE en la vanguardia de la defensa de los derechos de autor, un asunto capital entre los medios de comunicación ya que la extensión de Internet ha posibilitado que los contenidos generados puedan ser reutilizados sin permiso ni compensación para sus titulares.
La herramienta desarrollada por Attributor ha revelado que las informaciones alcanzan 5,3 veces más audiencia en sitios de Internet que no son clientes ni tienen permiso para hacerlo.
Esta audiencia sin explotar supone millones de dólares de pérdidas en ingresos para los productores de contenidos.
Desde el pasado septiembre la agencia EFE utiliza esta herramienta para el seguimiento e identificación de sus propios contenidos en Internet.
Mediante esta alianza con EFE, Attributor incluye entre sus clientes a las cuatro principales agencias de noticias del mundo.
