Las acciones de Apple tocaron el jueves su máximo histórico por las enormes expectativas que genera el supuesto y esperado lanzamiento de su ordenador 'tablet'.
Aunque Apple nunca ha dicho que ese dispositivo exista, la expectativa ya se ha desatado.
El volumen operado con opciones de títulos de Apple el jueves con acciones de Apple superó el promedio diario reciente, según Trade Alert.
"Los inversores están excitados sobre un lanzamiento anticipado de un Apple 'tablet'", dijo William Lefkowitz, estratega de opciones de vFinance Investments en Nueva York.
"La gente espera que sea un producto que permita a Apple seguir con su tremendo crecimiento", agregó.
El miércoles, Financial Times informó en su blog de que la firma había arrendado un escenario en un sitio en San Francisco para hacer "un gran anuncio de producto" el 26 de enero.
Apple declinó hacer comentarios.
Un ordenador 'tablet' podría ser un aparato con pantalla táctil que se parezca a un iPod o iPhone pero de un mayor tamaño.
Las acciones de la firma tocaron un récord de 209,35 dólares durante la rueda para cerrar en 208,71 dólares.
