Álvaro Arbeloa, último fichaje del Real Madrid, se entrenó hoy por primera vez con el conjunto madridista, que anunció el miércoles de manera oficial la adquisición del futbolista salmantino para las próximas cinco temporadas.
El jugador procedente del Liverpool ha tardado un día en ponerse a las órdenes de su entrenador, el chileno Manuel Pellegrini, que recibió al futbolista con los brazos abiertos. Tras saludar a su nuevo técnico, Arbeloa se ejercitó con normalidad a la espera de su primera rueda de prensa, que ofrecerá al concluir la sesión de trabajo.
La apretada agenda del Real Madrid, que tendrá que viajar a Sevilla para enfrentarse al Juventus en las semifinales de la Peace Cup, impedirán al club hacer una presentación ostentosa como la que tuvieron Cristiano Ronaldo, Ricardo Kaká y Raúl Albiol. Del mismo modo que Esteban Granero, Arbeloa atenderá a los medios al concluir su primer entrenamiento con el primer equipo.
La llegada del defensa debería abrir la puerta a algún jugador del conjunto blanco, que ahora mismo tiene 30 jugadores en la plantilla. Por lo menos sobran cinco, y si el Real Madrid quiere fichar más jugadores, como Xabi Alonso, tendrá que vender a unos cuantos.
