El Ayuntamiento de Pisa ha comenzado su campaña contra los vendedores de "souvenirs de mal gusto" y ha empezado a multar a los comerciantes que los expongan.
Será sancionado con multas de hasta 500 euros quien venda objetos como delantales o ropa interior con el diseño del pene en primer plano del David de Miguel Ángel, o con el de la Torre de Pisa con una clara referencia fálica.
Los medios de comunicación italianos explican hoy que cinco vendedores ya fueron multados el martes con 500 euros por exponer en sus puestos en la Plaza de los Milagros, donde está la famosa torre, recuerdos turísticos considerados de "mal gusto".
Hace unos días, la diócesis de Pisa había expresado sus protestas por la venta de un calzoncillo que representaba la torre de Pisa, símbolo de la ciudad, con forma fálica y habían pedido al alcalde que interviniese para detener la venta.
"Estos 'suovenirs' son una vergüenza no sólo para los fieles sino para toda la ciudad. Es una absoluta falta de respeto y estas formas de publicidad representan una señal de decadencia de nuestros tiempos", asegura en una entrevista en el diario local "Il Tirreno", el vicario de Pisa, Enzo Lucchesini.
La petición fue recogida por el alcalde de la ciudad, Marco Filippeschi, quien aseguró que se pondría en marcha una campaña para aplicar las normas que garantizaran el decoro ciudadano.
Efectivamente, los vendedores han sido sancionados y multados por vender "material ofensivo al decoro público" y se les ha invitado a retirar la mercancía.
