El presidente del Bayern de Múnich, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, ha amenazado públicamente con demandar al Real Madrid ante la Fifa si el club español insiste en fichar al internacional francés Franck Ribéry.
"El Real Madrid lleva semanas violando los estatutos de la Fifa, pues nosotros nunca dimos nuestro consentimiento para que hablaran con Franck o con sus agentes", asegura Rummenigge en una entrevista que publica hoy el dominical "Bild am Sonntag".
Rummenigge anuncia su intención de escribir una carta al presidente del Madrid, Florentino Pérez, "en la que le recomendaré que abandone sus esfuerzos por fichar a Franck. Si no acaban las molestias, demandaremos al Real ante la Fifa", dice.
El presidente del Bayern no sabe cuáles podrían ser las consecuencias para el club madridista pero espera que "al menos respeten a la Fifa".
"El año pasado hubo un caso parecido cuando el Real quiso fichar a Cristiano Ronaldo. También el Manchester United amenazó entonces con la Fifa. A partir de ahí hubo tranquilidad", explica Rummenigge.
Después de recordársele que ahora Ronaldo juega en el Madrid y ante la pregunta de si cree que Ribéry mantendrá su fidelidad al Bayern y no manifestará su deseo de marcharse en breve, Rummenigge sale en defensa del francés y subraya que en todo momento se ha portado con seriedad.
El Bayern dio por terminado esta semana el plazo de oferta de dos semanas para el fichaje de Ribéry y anunció que el francés seguirá en el equipo de Múnich.
