La incertidumbre del mercado sigue siendo excepcionalmente alta, dijo el Banco Central Europeo en el editorial de su informe mensual de diciembre, añadiendo que vigilaría "muy de cerca" todos los acontecimientos.
El banco central respaldó en su informe el último comunicado del presidente del organismo, Jean-Claude Trichet, sobre política monetaria la pasada semana, cuando el BCE rebajó los tipos de interés en 75 puntos básicos.
"El consejo de gobierno enfatiza que el nivel de incertidumbre sigue excepcionalmente alto", dijo el banco en su informe de diciembre.
"El consejo de gobierno del BCE seguirá manteniendo las perspectivas de inflación firmemente ancladas en línea con su objetivo a medio plazo para apoyar un crecimiento y empleo sostenibles y contribuir a la estabilidad financiera", añadió.
"En consecuencia, (el BCE) seguirá vigilando muy de cerca todos los acontecimientos en el futuro".
