Las bolsas europeas se disparaban a media sesión del viernes por la prohibición temporal a las ventas aldescubierto en valores financieros en EEUU y Reino Unido.
Las ventas al descubierto de 799 valores financieros se detendrán en EEUU a partir de hoy de acuerdo con una medida de emergencia dela SEC con el fin de proteger a los inversores y a los mercados.
El anuncio de una medida británica de este tipo en la noche del jueves provocó una subida de los títulos bancarios. Irlanda también anuncióuna prohibición de este tipos de operaciones, mientras que Australia tomaría una medida similar el lunes.
El secretario del Tesoro de EEUU, Henry Paulson, y el presidente de la Reserva Federal, Ben Bernanke, trabajarán a lo largo del fin desemana con el Congreso para elaborar un plan que haga frente a los activos deteriorados que dañan al sistema financiero.
