Una red que obligaba a prostituirse a mujeres inmigrantes en situación irregular, en su mayoría de nacionalidad paraguaya, ha sido desarticulada por la Policía en una actuación en la que han sido detenidas cinco personas que regentaban dos casas de citas en Málaga y Fuengirola.
La investigación, iniciada hace varios meses, ha determinado que la organización, encabezada por un hombre español y una mujer paraguaya, captaba a las jóvenes mediante el engaño sobre las actividades que iban a desarrollar en España y sobre las condiciones laborales, según ha informado hoy el Ministerio del Interior en un comunicado.
Las mujeres eran obligadas a trabajar por periodos de 21 días y con una disponibilidad de 24 horas, sin poder disfrutar de jornadas de descanso, y recibían una "ínfima" cantidad económica por los servicios sexuales que facilitaban.
La organización les obligaba a prostituirse para saldar la deuda que contraían por el viaje de Paraguay a España, y en todo momento eran controladas por miembros de la red, que se valían del temor de éstas a ser detenidas por la Policía, ya que se encontraban en situación irregular.
En la operación, en la que han sido detenidas también diez mujeres en situación irregular, se han practicado tres registros domiciliarios en los que se ha intervenido diversa cantidad de cocaína.
Según la Policía, la red obtenía grandes beneficios económicos, no sólo con la explotación sexual sino con la venta de sustancias estupefacientes a clientes que demandaban los servicios sexuales.
