El actor Carlos Larrañaga, ingresado en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI) de un hospital de Benalmádena (Málaga) donde el pasado lunes fue sometido a una intervención quirúrgica, se encuentra en "situación grave" y su recuperación "va a ser larga".
El urólogo Gonzalo Sanz, cirujano que le operado, ha informado hoy a los periodistas de que la intervención "fue larga por un proceso grave y, por tanto, la recuperación va a ser larga". Cree que habrá que "esperar a los próximos días para conocer un poco más de su evolución" y califica la situación como "grave".
"Cada día tendremos más información, pero ahora mismo ha pasado muy poquito tiempo y los responsables de la UCI tienen que conseguir que aguante para que podamos celebrar que ha ido todo bien", ha señalado el facultativo.
La familia del artista ha expresado, a través del director médico del hospital Xanit Internacional, José Manuel Martín, su agradecimiento por el interés mostrado por los medios de comunicación hacia él.
También los familiares han autorizado a los médicos a trasladar la información sobre el episodio hospitalario de Larrañaga, de 74 años, que ingresó el pasado lunes en el centro sanitario y fue operado por el mencionado urólogo, aunque no ha trascendido el tipo de intervención practicada.
Perteneciente a una familia de actores, Carlos Larrañaga (Barcelona, 1937) dejó los estudios en 1950 para dedicarse a la interpretación, en la que ha abarcado cine, teatro y televisión.
A comienzos de 2011 rodó "Los muertos no se tocan, nene", con guión del desaparecido Rafael Azcona y en la que interpreta a un médico de provincias.
