Alberto Contador, líder de la Vuelta, señaló hoy que, aunque está magullado por sufrir una caída durante la decimoquinta etapa, las heridas sólo son "de chapa y pintura", y se alegró de la victoria del gallego del Xacobeo David García.
"Estoy magullado pero solo es cuestión de chapa y pintura. Lo peor será pasar la noche, sobre todo por el hombro. Tendré que dormir del lado derecho y boca arriba", señaló Contador.
El maillot oro dijo que la etapa con final en Ponferrada le recordó al "Giro de Italia y a las clásicas".
"Menos mal que se formó una escapada por delante porque el final era muy complicado", comentó.
El jefe de filas del Astana se alegró del triunfo de García Dapena y evitó cualquier polémica en relación a la etapa de San Isidro, en la que su equipo evitó el triunfo de Ezequiel Mosquera.
