El diseñador leridano Custo Dalmau ha elegido la catedral de la Seu Vella de Lleida como escenario para presentar la colección primavera-verano 2009 de su firma, Custo Barcelona, que hasta ahora sólo ha sido exhibida en la Semana de la Moda de Nueva York.
Según ha informado hoy el gabinete de prensa del diseñador, el "enamoramiento" de Custo Dalmau por el monumento leridano, que data del siglo XII, ha sido lo que le ha llevado a presentar el medio centenar de modelos de su última colección en Lleida, como primicia en Europa.
Además, con este desfile el diseñador quiere "rendir homenaje a sus orígenes leridanos", ya que nació en la población de Tremp, capital de la comarca del Pallars Jussà.
"Custo lo que pretende al organizar este desfile en la Seu Vella es ayudar a promocionar en todo el mundo el monumento, del cual se confiesa un enamorado, y rendir a la vez homenaje a Lleida", han añadido las mismas fuentes.
La pasarela que se montará en el claustro gótico de la Seu Vella, será presentada por el propio diseñador, Custo Dalmau, y por su hermano David.
Entre los 42 modelos que llevarán los vestidos de la firma, habrá dos maniquíes españoles de reconocido prestigio internacional como son Esther Cañadas y Andrés Velencoso.
Asimismo, asistirán a éste peculiar desfile numerosos personajes famosos, entre los que destacan el actor Gary Dourdan, que trabaja en la serie CSI y que actualmente se encuentra de vacaciones en Ibiza, la modelo y presentadora Judith Mascó y la cantante Lucrecia.
