El euríbor, el indicador más utilizado en las hipotecas, sumó hoy su tercer mínimo histórico consecutivo en su negociación diaria al situarse en el 1,315%, con lo que a falta de dos sesiones para que acabe agosto deja la media mensual en el 1,337%, de nuevo el nivel más bajo de la historia del índice.
El indicador ha seguido la tendencia bajista en su cotización diaria después de que el lunes se tomara un respiro y registrara un leve ascenso que interrumpió una racha de nueve sesiones a la baja.
En cualquier caso, si continúa en estos niveles, el índice terminará el mes cerca del 1,33%, frente al 5,323% de agosto de 2008, lo que implicará un ahorro de hasta 3.808 euros anuales en las hipotecas que se revisen con esa referencia.
En concreto, los titulares de un préstamo de 150.000 euros con un plazo de amortización de 25 años pagarían 588 euros mensuales con el euríbor de agosto, frente a los 905,34 euros que tenían que abonar con la referencia de un año antes.
El indicador, que bajará en agosto casi ocho centésimas frente al 1,412% de julio, sumará once meses consecutivos de descensos que comenzaron en octubre, coincidiendo con la caída de la firma de banca privada estadounidense Lehman Brothers y el cambio de la política monetaria por parte del BCE.
