Un avión de la compañía española Air Europa fue evacuado anoche en el aeropuerto internacional de Maiquetía, en Caracas, después de que la aerolínea recibiera una llamada "sobre un pasajero con supuestos explosivos", según informó la cadena de televisión venezolana Globovisión.
La gerente de Air Europa en Maiquetía, Xiomara Marín, explicó que "se recibió una llamada sobre un pasajero con supuestos explosivos y se procedió a alertar a las autoridades", según la cadena de televisión.
"La aeronave fue trasladada a un punto 'X' donde está siendo requisada", añadió Marín, quien indicó que se recibieron dos llamadas que alertaban de la misma situación: una desde Venezuela y otra desde España.
El vuelo UX 72 de Air Europa se disponía a emprender viaje desde la capital venezolana a Madrid.
Un pasajero del vuelo Antonio González explicó a Globovisión que funcionarios de la Guardia Nacional y de otras fuerzas de seguridad venezolanas entraron en la aeronave y evacuaron a todos los pasajeros.
Los agentes revisaron los bajos del asiento del piloto y retiraron el equipaje de los más de 200 pasajeros que llevaba el vuelo para registrarlos, según González.
El pasajero también explicó que las fuerzas de seguridad trasladaron a cuatro jóvenes a una clínica para realizarles radiografías de tórax.
El resto de los pasajeros se encuentran en la terminal del aeropuerto bajo la vigilancia.
