La Federación Estatal de Foros por la Memoria remitirá una carta abierta a los grupos parlamentarios y al nuevo Gobierno en la que les instará a 'cumplir sus obligaciones y aplicar la justicia para los crímenes cometidos durante la dictadura'. En un comunicado, este colectivo advierte de que seguirá luchando para que se 'repare' a las víctimas del franquismo 'con todos los instrumentos pacíficos a su alcance, incluida la desobediencia civil'.
En su carta, la organización lamenta que el Estado no haya cumplido sus obligaciones de garantizar justicia 'para todos aquellos que fueron represaliados por defender la democracia ante la dictadura', por lo que avisa que, de continuar así, 'seguirán actuando en la sociedad civil'. En el escrito se reclama también que, igual que se persiguen los crímenes contra la humanidad en otros países citan el caso de Augusto Pinochet en Chile, 'se procese en España a aquellos criminales franquistas que siguen vivos'.
Igualmente se exige 'la retirada de símbolos fascistas, con especial atención al monumento del Valle de los Caídos', y que se revisen los libros de texto 'para que los niños y jóvenes conozcan la verdad acerca del franquismo'.
