El Consejo de Ministros decide hoy sobre la posible prórroga de la reducción de la velocidad máxima a 110 kilómetros por hora en autopistas y autovías, cuyo plazo expira el próximo jueves.
Esta limitación de la velocidad máxima se incluyó en el plan de ahorro aprobado el 4 de marzo por el Gobierno para reducir la factura energética tras el incremento del crudo por los conflictos en el norte de África.
Junto a esto, se aprobaron rebajas para algunos billetes de Renfe, la renovación del sistema de alumbrado público municipal, el incremento del límite obligatorio de biodiésel o el plan renove de neumáticos.
En abril, Industria detalló que la reducción de la velocidad máxima a 110 Km/h en autopistas y autovías redujo un 7,9 % el consumo de carburantes en marzo, lo que supuso un ahorro de 94,2 millones de euros en importaciones de petróleo.
Según Industria, en todo un año se podrían ahorrar 1.150 millones de euros en importaciones de petróleo en la balanza de pagos con esta medida en vigor.
