El Barcelona disfrutaría de un enfrentamiento en Liga de Campeones contra uno de los cuatro clubes ingleses que se han clasificado para los cuartos de final de la competición, aseguró Pep Guardiola.
'Si quieres ganar la Liga de Campeones, tienes que jugar con lo mejor de Europa', dijo el técnico blaugrana tras la victoria de su equipo contra el Olympique de Lyon por 5-2 en el Camp Nou.
'Obviamente, los ingleses son los mejores y los más peligrosos. Sería bonito probar éxito contra uno de los cuatro equipos ingleses', añadió. 'Si tuviéramos que jugar contra uno de ellos, sería un buen partido', añadió.
El Barça volvió a recuperar la forma en un Camp Nou a rebosar, en un partido en el que los azulgranas se adelantaron gracias a un rápido doblete de Thierry Henry, una carrera típica de Lionel Messi con definición tranquila y un potente tiro de Samuel Eto'o.
El Barça aún puede conseguir el triplete con la Champions, la Liga y la Copa del Rey y cuentan con una ventaja de seis puntos sobre el Real Madrid, que es segundo, en la Liga.
El Barça, que triunfó en Liga de Campeones en 2006, llegó a semifinales de la competición la temporada pasada, perdiendo ante el equipo que finalmente se hizo con el título, el Manchester United, y Guardiola dijo que cualquier equipo del cuarteto formado por United, Chelsea, Arsenal y Liverpool serían contrincantes formidables en cuartos.
'Será difícil para nosotros, pero ellos tienen que venir aquí a jugar, así que estoy seguro de que será también difícil para ellos', dijo.
'Lo que nos toque en el sorteo será bienvenido. Lo estudiaremos mucho, e intentaremos conocer sus puntos débiles', concluyó.
Bayern de Múnich, Oporto y Villarreal son los equipos restantes que entrarán en el bombo para el sorteo de cuartos el próximo 20 de marzo.
