El Ibex-35 abrió el lunes con una fuerte alza, alentado por las ganancias de los bancos después deque el gobierno de EEUU anunciara la toma de control de los gigantes de las hipotecas Fannie Mae y Freddie Mac.
"Los bancos se están beneficiando del plan de rescate de las casas prestamistas estadounidenses tras la intervencióndel Gobierno (de EEUU). La valoración es favorable porque al evitar la quiebra de estas entidades evita el impago debonos de estas empresas y quita algo de presión al sistema financiero", dijo Nicolás López, director de análisis de MGValores.
El Ibex-35 ganaba un 3,34 por ciento a 11.509,9 puntos tras depreciarse la semana anterior un 4,85 por ciento.
En tanto, el índice general de la Bolsa de Madrid se revalorizaba un 2,81 por ciento a 1.231,59 unidades.
En el sector bancario, Santander se revalorizaba un 5,85 por ciento, mientras que BBVA sumaba un 5,29 por ciento.
Bankinter repuntaba un 6,11 por ciento, mientras que Banesto avanzaba un 5,58 por ciento.
Popular subía, por su parte, un 6,08 por ciento a 7,15 euros.
Entre los mejores valores también destacaban las ganancias de un 6,71 por ciento a 34,50 euros de Ferrovial.
La constructora española dijo el sábado que había alcanzado un acuerdo con ABN Amro Global Infrastructures Fund,con la participación de Faris Infrastructure Partners, para vender el aeropuerto de Belfast.
