La bolsa española prolongaba en la mañana del viernes las fuertes caídas de la sesión anterior, en línea con otros mercados europeos, debido a que persistía la preocupación sobre los problemas de deuda en Dubai.
"Había algo de pánico de ventas esta mañana, tras las caídas en Asia, pero el mercado se ha recuperado un poco. Es viernes y la gente estará nerviosa sobre cómo reaccionará el mercado de Dubai cuando abra la próxima semana", dijo un operador en Madrid.
En este contexto, los grandes bancos cedían terreno. BBVA, que se dejó un 3,5 por ciento la sesión previa, caía un 0,92 por ciento. Santander, que ayer bajó un 3,26 por ciento, perdía un 1,4 por ciento.
El índice bancario europeo perdía un 0,41 por ciento.
A las 1000 horas, el Ibex-35 pedía un 1,03 por ciento a 11.537,3 puntos.
El único valor en positivo era OHL, con avances del 0,64 por ciento.
Los blue chips también generaban ventas. Telefónica caía un 0,97 por ciento, mientras que Repsol YPF cedía un 1,72 por ciento tras dejarse un 2,5 por ciento la sesión previa.
El sector eléctrico se sumaba a las caídas. Iberdrola perdía un 1,1 por ciento, mientras que Endesa retrocedía un 1,8 por ciento y Red Eléctrica caía un 0,25 por ciento.
