El Índice de Precios al Consumo (IPC) de agosto bajó cuatro décimas, hasta el 4,9 por ciento, en tasa interanual, dijo eljueves el Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE).
En términos mensuales, la inflación bajó un 0,2 por ciento en agosto tras un descenso del 0,5 por ciento en el mes anterior.
Los analistas consultados por Reuters esperaban un recorte mensual del 0,2 por ciento y una tasa interanual del 4,9 por ciento.
La inflación subyacente, que no tiene en cuenta los volátiles precios de energía y alimentos frescos, subió tres décimas en tasa interanualhasta el 3,5 por ciento, sin cambios frente a la tasa interanual registrada en julio.
