La moratoria de diez meses anunciada por el Primer Ministro israelí, Benjamín Netanyahu, parece quedar sólo en pura estrategia para devolver a los palestinos a la mesa de negociación. Siete días después, el Gobierno de Israel ha aprobado la construcción de otros 84 edificios en la Cisjordania ocupada.
Según informa el servicio de noticias israelí Ynet, Netanyahu pidió al Ministerio de Defensa que acceda a edificar otras 25 unidades de vivienda en la colonia de Keidar. Según el Primer Ministro de Israel, estas unidades no debían estar afectadas por la moratoria que anunció la semana pasada.
Al parecer, la tan publicitada suspensión de los asentamientos no afecta ni a Jerusalén Este ni a las tres mil edificaciones proyectadas en la región, entre las que se incluyen sinagogas y colegios.
Sin embargo, no todos aceptaron de buen grado la moratoria de Netanyahu, ya que el movimiento colonizador judío anunció que no piensa respetar el veto a la construcción y que tiene pensado seguir edificando en 'sus comunidades'. Tampoco convenció a las autoridades palestinas, quienes exigieron el cese total de las construcciones y que ahora ven frustradas sus peticiones con este nuevo movimiento israelí.
