La ministra de Asuntos Exteriores, Trinidad Jiménez, ha advertido hoy que por razones de "seguridad, discreción, prudencia y eficacia" no va a informar de las reuniones ni del contenido de las mismas en relación al secuestro de los cooperantes españoles en Dadaab (Kenia) y en Tinduf (Argelia).
En declaraciones a los periodistas, Jiménez ha explicado que se tienen reuniones periódicas con distintos responsables de Estado y con diferentes organizaciones para poder avanzar en las gestiones, pero que consideran imprescindible para la liberación de los cooperantes españoles actuar con prudencia.
"Lo único que nos importa es lograr la liberación de los secuestrados y para conseguirlo sabemos que necesitamos trabajar con mucha discreción" ha puntualizado la titular de exteriores.
El pasado 13 de octubre las cooperantes de Médicos Sin Fronteras (MsF) Blanca Thiebaut y Montserrat Serra fueron secuestradas en Dabaab, y Ainhoa Fernández de Rincón y Enric Gonyalons fueron hechos rehenes nueve días después junto a un italiano en los campos de refugiados saharauis cerca de Tinduf.
