La Juventus de Turín goleó a domicilio a la Roma (1-4), en partido adelantado a la vigésima novena jornada de la Liga italiana de fútbol, y se sitúa a cuatro puntos del líder, el Inter de Milán, que este domingo recibirá a la Reggina.
El artillero Vincenzo Iaquinta resultó determinante para el triunfo del conjunto de Claudio Ranieri, al marcar el primer tanto y el que volvió a desequilibrar la contienda después de que Simone Loria hubiera igualado.
Con el 1-2 a los 55 minutos, la Juventus ya no dio más opciones a los romanistas, a los que sentenció con nuevos tantos del sueco Olof Mellberg y el checo Pavel Nedved.
La Roma acusó las bajas del lesionado capitán Totti y el suspendido Daniele De Rossi y, ahora, está dos puntos por detrás del Génova, cuarto, en su lucha por acceder a la Liga de Campeones.
Por otro lado, las ilusiones europeas del Lazio sufrieron un contratiempo con su derrota en el feudo del Catania por 1-0, con gol de Michele Paolucci, y un penalti malogrado por el macedonio Goran Pandev, quien tuvo en sus botas el empate en el segundo tiempo pero no pudo batir al meta argentino Albano Bizzarri.
