Los Angeles Lakers dominaron el martes a los Knicks de Nueva York y vencieron por 90-100, aún cediendo puntos en los últimos minutos del partido, mientras José Manuel Calderón protagonizó un gran encuentro con los Toronto Raptors.
En Los Ángeles, Pau Gasol logró 11 puntos en 27 minutos, mientras Kobe Bryant fue el máximo anotador con 34 puntos.
Gasol fue el jugador, sin embargo, que más rebotes tuvo en el encuentro, un total de 16. Los últimos campeones de la NBA sumaron su cuarta victoria consecutiva.
Los Knicks perdían por 25 puntos cuando quedaban poco más de nueve minutos para el final, pero redujeron la diferencia en el último cuarto hasta los 10 puntos provocando el susto en los Lakers.
Por su parte, los Toronto Raptors ganaron 112-123 a los Indiana Pacers en un partido en que José Manuel Calderón fue el máximo anotador del equipo canadiense, con 21 puntos. En sus 31 minutos, el extremeño concedió además 7 asistencias. Los Pacers contaron con la buena actuación de Granger, que obtuvo 36 puntos, pero no fueron suficientes para vencer.
En otros partidos de la jornada, los Nuggets en Denver aplastaron a los Nets de Nueva Jersey 101-87 con 27 puntos de Carmelo Anthony.
Dallas Mavericks sufrió una sorpresiva derrota en casa al caer ante Golden State Warriors 111-103.
Washington Wizards corrió la suerte de ganar por tan sólo un punto (107-108) a Philadelphia 76ers. Finalmente, Thunder Oklahoma venció al Utah Jazz por 104-94.
