Cuatro médicos extranjeros visitaron la semana pasada en Gaza al soldado israelí Guilad Shalit, por primera vez desde que fue capturado por tres milicias palestinas en junio de 2006, reveló hoy el diario internacional árabe "Al Hayat".
Los facultativos franceses, de distintas especialidades, efectuaron un chequeo al militar, según el periódico, que señala que los médicos iban acompañados por el mediador alemán en las negociaciones para un canje de prisioneros.
Se trata de la primera vez que se informa de que Shalit ha sido visitado por observadores extranjeros.
Según la fuente, la autorización forma parte de los gestos de buena voluntad ante un canje de prisioneros con Israel, un acuerdo que parece retrasarse a pesar de las informaciones en distintos medios locales e internacionales desde hace varias semanas.
Las milicias que retienen a Shalit, capturado en un ataque a un puesto de observación israelí junto a la frontera con Gaza, exigen la liberación de unos 1.000 presos palestinos.
"Al Hayat" añade que aviones espía no pilotados israelíes sobrevolaron Gaza durante el chequeo que los cuatro médicos realizaron a Shalit.
Hamás, explica el periódico, recibió garantías del mediador alemán de que no habría ataques israelíes durante la visita.
Las negociaciones para un canje prosiguen con la mediación de Alemania y Egipto, y según las últimas informaciones las partes no se ponen de acuerdo en la identidad de los últimos cincuenta presos a ser liberados.
