La canciller alemana, Angela Merkel, declaró hoy que la sentencia del Tribunal Constitucional (TC), en la que se da el visto bueno al fondo de rescate del euro, ratifica la política de su gobierno.
"La sentencia ha ratificado de manera absoluta la política del gobierno", dijo Merkel ante el Bundestag, el parlamento federal, durante el debate sobre los presupuestos públicos.
El TC, según la interpretación de Merkel, aprueba la responsabilidad y la solidaridad europeas, respetando naturalmente los derechos del parlamento.
"Ese es exactamente el camino que queremos seguir", dijo la canciller.
El máximo tribunal germano anunció su rechazo a las demandas contra el primer plan de rescate del euro y las ayudas a Grecia presentadas por cinco profesores universitarios y el diputado socialcristiano bávaro Peter Gauweiler.
Sin embargo, los jueces del Segundo Senado del Tribunal Constitucional germano exigieron que todos los planes de rescate y ayudas futuros sean aprobados por la Comisión Presupuestaria del Bundestag.
El tribunal subrayó que no puede producirse un automatismo en los pagos que socave los derechos de los diputados y reclamó que los paquetes de ayudas sean claramente definidos para que los parlamentarios tengan posibilidades de controlarlos e incluso de rechazarlos.
