El capitán del equipo español de Copa Federación, Miguel Margets, señaló hoy, tras la victoria de Nuria Llagostera sobre Peng Shuai que dio la victoria a España sobre China en la semifinales, que "a corazón non nos gana nadie".
"Nos enfrentamos a equipos con jugadoras más altas y más potentes pero a corazón no nos gana nadie. Las chicas han hecho historia aquí y vamos a ver si podemos ganar a Rusia y poner el broche de oro a un año inolvidable", dijo Margets, que apuesta por Rusia como finalista y por España como campeona.
"Si hemos sido capaces de derrotar a Italia en Nápoles y a China en Pekín no vamos a renunciar a nada, seguro", dijo a Efe tras el partido.
Margets se mostró algo sorprendido de que España ganase los tres primeros encuentros de la eliminatoria: "Veníamos con ilusión pero sabíamos que iba a ser muy complicado pero a la postre creo que las chicas han dado el mejor nivel que pueden dar, le han puesto mucho valor, han luchado muchísimo".
"Al final, creo que quizás a las chinas el hecho de jugar en casa y por primera vez tener la posibilidad de jugar una final ha sido contraproducente, lo han notado y les ha podido la presión", analizó.
"Nuria ha sabido mantenerse firme en esos momentos", elogió Margets a la balear, quien supo abstraerse del entorno en los momentos claves de la eliminatoria y sacar su mejor tenis sobre la pista rápida y cubierta del Centro internacional de Tenis de Pekín.
