Catorce personas han muerto en los once accidentes registrados el pasado fin de semana en las carreteras españolas, según ha informado hoy la Dirección General de Tráfico.
En los siniestros ocurridos entre las 15:00 horas del pasado viernes y las 24:00 horas de ayer, domingo, otras nueve personas han resultado heridas, cinco de ellas de gravedad y cuatro de carácter leve.
El viernes hubo tres accidentes con cuatro muertos, tres heridos graves y uno leve, mientras que el sábado se contabilizaron seis siniestros con ocho víctimas mortales, dos heridos graves y tres leves.
Ayer, domingo, dos personas perdieron la vida en otros dos accidentes mortales.
De los once siniestros, cinco han sido salidas de la vía, otros cinco colisiones y un atropello.
En lo que va de año, se llevan contabilizados 1.006 muertos en las carreteras, 120 menos que hasta la misma fecha de 2008, lo que representa un descenso del 10,65 por ciento.
