El presidente del Club Atlético Osasuna, Patxi Izco, declaró hoy a EFE, dentro del Primer Symposium de Prevención en el Fútbol, celebrado en el Hospital Clínico San Carlos de Madrid, que la junta directiva del club de Pamplona sigue teniendo total confianza en José Ángel "Cuco" Ziganda como entrenador.
El máximo mandatario del Osasuna aseguró que le gustaría que el tándem formado por Ziganda y Jon Andoni Goicoetxea siga entrenando la próxima temporada al equipo, a no ser que ellos quisieran "cambiar de aires". "Me gustaría que Ziganda siguiera el año que viene", agregó
Sin embargo, Izco se mostró preocupado por la situación deportiva que atraviesa el club y dijo a EFE que, ahora, lo primero es que se consiga la salvación matemática cuanto antes.
Para el presidente, la actual situación del equipo, tres puntos por encima del descenso, se debe a la campaña tan irregular que han realizado los suyos, que no han sabido mantener fuera los puntos logrados en su feudo del Reyno de Navarra.
Además, según Izco, al Osasuna le han pesado mucho las tres derrotas consecutivas sufridas por la formación en la segunda vuelta.
