El Consejo de RTVE, que comunicó ayer su voluntad de dar marcha atrás al control de los telediarios de la televisión pública, ha decidido por unanimidad tumbar la normativa.
Hace sólo dos días, la iniciativa, promovida por la consejera elegida a propuesta del PP, Charo López Millares, sólo contó con la negativa de los consejeros de Administración de RTVE elegidos a propuesta de UGT e IU, Santos Miguel Ruesga y Teresa Aranguren, respectivamente. Santos Miguel Ruesga ha hablado para Público.
¿Por qué votó en contra de acceder al sistema iNews?
Teresa Aranguren y yo advertimos a los miembros del Consejo del peligro que suponía la propuesta. Se trata de una decisión que abre la posibilidad de ver qué hace y cómo trabaja el periodista de turno, y eso es gravísimo.
¿Entiende la polémica que generó la decisión del Consejo?
Más allá de las autojustificaciones que ahora hagan el resto de los consejeros, el caso es que ha sido un error muy grave del Consejo de Administración, y hay que asumirlo como tal. Pero este error es sólo la punta del iceberg de lo que viene ocurriendo en esta Corporación en los dos últimos meses, desde que dimitió Alberto Oliart. Hay una obsesión por parte del PSOE y del PP por controlar todo lo que sucede en RTVE.
¿Qué cree que ocurrirá en la reunión de hoy?
Lo único que vale es que quede sin efecto lo que se votó el miércoles. También espero que se asuma el error y que haya consecuencias políticas. En el mundo de la política, cuando uno se equivoca ya sabe qué debe hacer.
