Unas quinientas personas se han concentrado la tarde de este martes frente a las puertas del Parlamento de Catalunya dentro de la iniciativa 'Rodea el Congreso', que también se celebra en Madrid, y han reclamado la dimisión de los diputados catalanes al grito de 'culpables'. Bajo un cartel que clama 'Congreso y Parlament no nos representan. Dimisión de los diputados', los concentrados han protestado contra los recortes y las políticas de austeridad aplicadas por el Gobierno catalán.
También han abucheado al presidente de la Generalitat, Artur Mas, a su salida del hemiciclo el primer día del Debate de Política General en el que ha convocado elecciones anticipadas. Han gritado consignas clásicas del movimiento como 'Lo llaman democracia y no lo es', 'No es una crisis, es una estafa' y 'Manos arriba esto es un atraco', y han espetado: 'Que el próximo parado, sea un diputado'.
Paralelamente, un grupo de independentistas concentrado en la misma zona han coreado gritos como 'In-inde-independencia', 'No a la financiación, Cataluña independiente' y 'Queremos independencia y Països Catalans', después de que Mas haya hecho un llamamiento al ejercer el derecho a la autodeterminación.
Ante un dispositivo policial que les ha impedido acercarse a los parlamentarios, aunque lejos del blindaje policial que hubo cuando en 2011 llamaron a parar la actividad del Parlament, en el que se cerró completamente el parque de la Ciutadella, donde se ubica el edificio, los manifestantes han secundado la convocatoria de la Plataforma ¡En Pie! en Madrid y otras ciudades.
