Ni siquiera el 'rey del Pop', convertido ya en mito, puede destronar a Hipatia. Por cuarta semana consecutiva Agora, lo nuevo de Alejandro Amenábar, es la película más vista en Esp0aña supeando incluso a This Is It, el documental sobre Michael Jackson estrenado el pasado miércoles.
La cinta de Amenábar, protagonizada por Rachel Weisz, mantiene de esta forma su liderazgo desde que se estrenó el pasado 9 de octubre.
Desde entonces Agora ha congregado a casi 2,17 millones de espectadores y ha recaudado más de 16,7 millones de euros, según Hispano Foxfilm.
El quinto largometraje de Amenábar es la película española más taquillera de 2009 y la tercera después de Up e Ice Age 3.
This is It, el documental que recoge los últimos ensayos de Michael Jackson, se queda en el segundo puesto, pero muy cerca del primero, con una recaudación de casi 1,4 millones de euros en el último fin de semana.
En el tercer lugar aparece una franquicia de terror adolescente de las más rentables del género. Se trata de Destino Final 4, que con una recaudación de más de un millón de euros relega al cuarto puesto a La chica que soñaba con una cerilla y un bidón de gasolina, la segunda entrega de la exitosa saga Millenium de Stieg Larsson, que cae desde el segundo lugar que logró la pasada semana.
