El barrio de Son Gotleu ha pasado una noche marcada por la "normalidad" en la que, según la Policía Local, no se han producido incidentes, después de la pelea multitudinaria que se produjo en la noche del jueves, por un enfrentamiento entre miembros de etnia gitana y de nacionalidad nigeriana.
Un día después de la contienda en la que participaron de forma activa unas cincuenta personas y un millar salieron a la calle, el vecindario se encuentra en una situación que una fuente de la Policía Local ha descrito a Efe como de "calma tensa, pero calma al fin y al cabo".
También el despliegue policial en la zona ha vuelto a la normalidad, sin ningún dispositivo especial pero con "vigilancia itinerante" por parte de las patrullas asignadas al distrito centro, que pasan frecuentemente por las calles Tomas Rullán y Regal, donde se originó el altercado.
Las labores de vigilancia son hoy más de carácter preventivo que activo.
La pelea que, según las primeras indagaciones del Cuerpo Nacional de Policía, pudo comenzar en una disputa entre una pareja de etnia gitana y un vecino del barrio de nacionalidad nigeriana por unas gafas de sol, se saldó con tres heridos por arma blanca, decenas de contusionados, daños en una quincena de vehículos y en el mobiliario urbano.
