La telefónica móvil perdió en octubre un total de 486.183 líneas, debido fundamentalmente a las bajas sufridas por Movistar, Vodafone y Orange, según la última nota mensual de la Comisión del Mercado de Telecomnicaciones (CMT).
Con este retroceso, que la CMT atribuye a la 'fuerte caída en el prepago y en las datacards', la telefonía móvil acumula ya nueve meses consecutivos de descensos.
En concreto, Movistar perdió 284.290 líneas en octubre, mientras que Vodafone se dejó 278.070 y Orange perdió 14.870. Frente a estas caídas, los OMV (operadores móviles virtuales) y Yoigo ganaron 78.550 y 12.490 líneas, respectivamente.
En cuanto a la portabilidad, en octubre se registraron 474.993 cambios de operador, un 6,1% más que en igual mes de 2011.
En el segmento de la banda ancha, Telefónica cerró octubre en positivo, al sumar 35.466 nuevas líneas (18.188 de tecnología DSL y 17.278 de fibra óptica).
No obstante, los operadores alternativos siguieron liderando el crecimiento de líneas de la banda ancha, con 40.290 nuevas líneas en octubre, mientras que los operadores de cable ganaron 15.390 líneas de banda ancha.
En total, la banda ancha alcanzó en octubre las 11,4 millones de líneas, esto es, 24,8 líneas por cada 100 habitantes.
