Tres mil pulseras estarán a disposición de los juzgados a partir del 24 de julio para mejorar el control de las medidas de alejamiento de los maltratadores respecto a sus víctimas con mayor riesgo y para advertir a los agresores de que están siendo vigilados.
El Gobierno, en una puesta de escena conjunta de los ministerios de Justicia, Igualdad e Interior, además de la Fiscalía General y el Consejo del Poder Judicial, ha presentado hoy estos dispositivos con los que se pretende mejorar la seguridad de la víctimas, darles confianza y comunicar a los agresores que están controlados.
Con estos dispositivos, -con una inversión de 5 millones de euros- la ministra de Igualdad, Bibiana Aído, ha asegurado que se quiere "decir al agresor que le estamos vigilando, que 40 millones de españoles le están observando" y que "ella no está sola, sino que la sociedad está vigilando" cualquier intento de aproximación a la víctima.
La mujer llevará una de las unidades electrónicas, similar a un teléfono móvil, que informa de su situación a un centro de control y permite la comunicación de voz y pulsar un botón de pánico.
Además, puede percibir si el agresor se aproxima a menos de 500 metros.
El maltratador tendrá otro dispositivo similar y una especie de pulsera, que podrá colocarse en la muñeca o el tobillo, que es un transmisor que envía señales a la central de control y a la víctima.
