El presidente del Gobierno, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, aseguró hoy que "la recuperación (económica) se ha iniciado", y "todo apunta" a que el ritmo de dicha recuperación "se va a acelerar".
En su intervención en una jornada organizada por la revista The Economist, Zapatero admitió que no se sabe "con qué fuerza" ni "con qué progresión" ha comenzado la recuperación, ni cuándo tendrá la economía "el vigor suficiente para crear empleo".
En cualquier caso apuntó que, "con diferencia de meses" entre unos países y otros dicha recuperación "ha arrancado en todos los sitios", aunque de forma más intensa en las economías emergentes, y consideró que no tiene sentido polemizar sobre las distintas previsiones macroeconómicas.
En su opinión, "España está en condiciones de recuperar un crecimiento económico vigoroso", y por eso "hay que empujar cuanto antes a la economía española hacia su crecimiento potencial".
