“Ni esta bandera ni ninguna otra que no sea institucional”. Este fue el argumento que el alcalde de Sevilla, Juan Ignacio Zoido (PP), esgrimió el pasado mes de junio, y repitió en varias ocasiones, para explicar su negativa a que la bandera arcoiris ondeara en el Ayuntamiento, tal y como había hecho los dos años anteriores, durante la semana previa al 28 de junio, día del Orgullo LGTB (Lesbianas Gays Transexuales y Bisexuales). Pero el argumento de Zoido quedó ayer dinamitado. Una bandera no institucional ondeó en la fachada del consistorio hispalense.
Se trataba de la bandera del pueblo gitano, que ayer conmemoraba el día de los gitanos andaluces. De esta forma el Ayuntamiento de Zoido ha tardado cuatro meses en incumplir lo que prometió a los organizadores del Orgullo de Sevilla. “Habrán cambiado de opinión, así que espero que el próximo año acepten colocar nuestra bandera”, explicaba ayer Mar Cambrollé, presidenta de la coordinadora LGTB Girasol.
“Habrá sido un error”
Al concejal de Participación Ciudadana, Beltrán Pérez, que representó al Ayuntamiento en la manifestación del Orgullo, la colocación de la bandera romaní le cogió por sorpresa. “Habrá sido un error”, explicó, reconociendo que él mismo trasladó a los colectivos LGTB en junio la promesa de no colocar ninguna bandera. Este diario reclamó luego una explicación oficial al consistorio, pero el Ayuntamiento no la dio.
No hubo error. Estaba convocado un izado y un acto oficial en el Ayuntamiento. Miembros de Fakali, la Federación Andaluza de Mujeres Gitanas, confirmaron que semanas atrás habían solicitado al Ayuntamiento el izado de la bandera. “Al principio nos dijeron que sí, luego que no, y finalmente accedieron, como se había hecho en años anteriores”, dijeron.
