'No se puede pasar a otras ciencias si no es por la puerta de la gramática'. La frase que Cervantes puso en boca del licenciado Vidriera impulsa a los miembros de la RAE en su labor cotidiana. El mismo punto de partida es el que ha guiado a la institución en la edición de su Nueva Gramática Básica de la lengua española, que fue presentada este martes en Madrid.
La nueva edición nace con la función de mejorar la comunicación en castellano en todo el mundo. Para favorecer ese entendimiento transnacional, la edición de la obra 'ha partido de una concepción panhispánica en un trabajo conjunto con representantes de todas las academias de la lengua española', comentó José Manuel Blecua, director de la RAE.
El texto también busca convertirse en un referente educativo. Para conseguirlo, 'simplifica la descripción de los aspectos constitutivos o internos del sistema', comentó Ignacio Bosque, docente que ha tomado parte en la redacción. La simplificación de los contenidos, sin por ello caer en un menor rigor conceptual, responde a un deseo expreso de dejar de lado terminologías confusas que son complicadas para los alumnos.
La simplificación del manual educativo debe servir para evitar un problema que, según Bosque, se produce habitualmente. Este problema radica en que, 'cuando el profesor de Lengua desgrana la gramática, el alumno percibe que aquello no tiene relación alguna con él', afirmó.
La publicación de esta edición culmina un proceso que comenzó en 2009 con la publicación de Nueva gramática de la lengua española y Manual de la Nueva gramática, a modo de abreviación, en 2010.
