Florentino no tiene oposición. Las dos votaciones de corte urbanístico que se solicitaron ayer a la asamblea extraordinaria se resolvieron a la búlgara. El primer punto, la ratificación de convenios con el Ayuntamiento, se aprobó con 795 votos a favor y 2 en contra. El segundo, la autorización para la redelimitación urbanística de los terrenos incluidos en el Santiago Bernabéu, salió adelante por 786 a 10.
Sólo un compromisario se atrevió a criticar a la junta directiva. 'Quiero saber por qué ahora se nos solicita la aprobación por adelantado para lo de la Castellana y en Valdebebas se nos pidió que votáramos a posteriori, cuando ya estaba todo acordado con el Ayuntamiento', se escuchó en una de las escasas intervenciones duras con el presidente.
La remodelación del Bernabéu incluirá 'una nueva piel envolvente arquitectónica' que garantiza que el estadio quedará cubierto para todas las localidades. El presidente apeló ayer al sentimentalismo: 'El Bernabéu es un símbolo que forma parte de nuestra genética, leyenda y emociones. Miles de sentimientos han tenido lugar en esta casa donde materializamos nuestros sueños desde 1947. Es el templo del fútbol'.
