Un avión C-101 de la Academia General del Aire ha sufrido un accidente este lunes en el aeropuerto de San Javier (Murcia) cuando se ha salido de la pista de aterrizaje como consecuencia del pinchazo de una de sus ruedas durante un ejercicio de instrucción ordinario. Ninguno de sus dos ocupantes ha resultado herido en el siniestro.
El avión estaba realizando una misión de enseñanza tripulado por un Comandante instructor y un Alférez Alumno de tercer curso. Durante el aterrizaje, debido al pinchazo en una de las ruedas del tren de aterrizaje, el aparato ha perdido el control direccional saliéndose de la pista, según ha informado el Ejército del Aire.
El profesor y el alumno abandonaron el avión accionando el asiento eyectable y fueron recogidos en el punto de caída sin lesiones aparentes.
Pese a ello, fueron trasladados inmediatamente para reconocimiento y observación a las instalaciones del Hospital de la Academia General del Aire.
Por su parte, el avión ha podido ser controlado y se ha recuperado sin que haya sufrido ningún daño. Sin embargo, se ha abierto una investigación para determinar con precisión las causas del accidente.
Como consecuencia del accidente, el aeropuerto de San Javier ha tenido que ser cerrado temporalmente y han tenido que ser desviados a El Altet (Alicante) tres vuelos: uno procedente de Madrid y otros dos procedentes de Manchester y Leeds (Reino Unido), según informaron fuentes de AENA.
