No hay un pacto cerrado, pero todo apunta a que el próximo Ejecutivo de Canarias lo compartirán Coalición Canaria (CC), la segunda fuerza de las islas, y el Partido Socialista Canario (PSC-PSOE). Ayer comenzaron las conversaciones formales entre ambos partidos y los dos confirmaron su intención de firmar un acuerdo. 'Hay una clara voluntad de llegar a un esquema de Gobierno', aseguró José Miguel Pérez, líder del PSC, a su salida de la reunión en Las Palmas con el presidente en funciones del archipiélago, Paulino Rivero (CC). 'En lo sustancial', añadió, se puede alcanzar una alianza.
El jefe del Ejecutivo, mientras, juzgó que el pacto CC-PSC es 'el mejor acuerdo para Canarias'. Y avisó al PP de que, mientras continúen las negociaciones con los socialistas, no habrá diálogo 'con otra fuerza política', por 'lealtad'.
El PSC, tercera lista más votada (15 escaños), por detrás de CC y PP (ambos con 21), permitirían que Rivero mantuviese la presidencia, aunque ayer no se abordó el reparto de consejerías, informa Efe.
Pérez y Rivero subrayaron que el encuentro puso la primera piedra para alcanzar un programa común, presidido por tres ejes: empleo, fomento de la actividad económica y cohesión social. 'Lo importante es un buen acuerdo para Canarias que nos permita seguir avanzando en un camino que nos está permitiendo salir de la crisis', dijo el presidente. El líder del PSC incidió en que las islas necesitan 'estabilidad'.
El número dos del PP canario, Manuel Fernández, restó importancia a los pasos dados ayer por PSC y CC. 'No quiere decir nada', porque 'no hay pacto cerrado', afirmó. Los conservadores reprochan a los nacionalistas que quieran la presidencia para Rivero, cuando el PP, con José Manuel Soria a la cabeza, les ganó en votos, aunque no en escaños.
