El portavoz del Govern, Francesc Homs, aseguró este martes que el ejecutivo catalán mantendrá 'caiga quien caiga' el modelo de inmersión lingüística en las aulas , porque lo considera un 'tesoro' y una 'línea roja' inviolable.
De esta forma respondía la Generalitat de Catalunya a la petición del PP de eliminar la política de inmersión lingüística tras la sentencia del Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Catalunya. Pero el Govern de Mas no quiere romper del todo los puentes y no descarta al PP como socio para impulsar otros temas.
Tras la reunión de este martes del Govern, Homs recalcó que, digan lo que digan los tribunales, la Generalitat no piensa ceder 'ni un milímetro' en su defensa de un sistema educativo que cuenta con un 'inmenso' apoyo democrático, que favorece la 'cohesión' de la sociedad catalana y que ha demostrado su elevado 'valor pedagógico'.
Pese a los llamamientos de la izquierda catalana a que CiU rompa relaciones con el PP, dada su beligerancia contra la inmersión, Homs subrayó que el Govern no piensa actuar con 'sectarismo', cerrando la puerta a acuerdos puntuales con los conservadores para aprobar, por ejemplo, los próximos presupuestos catalanes.
