La titular del juzgado número 1 de Novelda (Alicante) ha dejado en libertad, imputado de un presunto delito de maltrato animal, a un hombre de 31 años, detenido en Pinoso (Alicante) por, supuestamente, rociar con un líquido inflamable a un perro y prenderle fuego después.
Según ha informado a Europa Press el Tribunal Superior de Justicia de la Comunitat Valenciana (TSJCV), la juez ha dictado para este hombre una media cautelar por la que deberá comparecer ante el órgano judicial cada 15 días.
Los hechos tuvieron lugar el pasado 27 de abril, cuando una vecina de Pinoso observó cómo un perro corría por una de las calles con el lomo en llamas.
En ese momento, la mujer intentó apagar el fuego, al tiempo que lograba retener al animal y avisar a su dueño, ya que el perro se había refugiado bajo un coche que estaba estacionado en la puerta del domicilio del propietario. Así, una vez que el dueño se hizo cargo del animal, lo trasladó hasta la clínica veterinaria de la localidad donde le curaron las heridas.
La tortura ha generado indignación en las redes sociales, cuyos usuarios denunciaron entonces el maltrato sufrido por el perro Schnauzi, torturado hasta su muerte. En el caso de Pinoso, el animal sigue con vida, pero para recuperarse de las heridas todavía necesita asistencia veterinaria.
