Agentes de Policía en el aeropuerto de Amsterdam.
Las autoridades holandesas desalojaron este viernes la zona comercial del aeropuerto de Schiphol en Ámsterdam después de que la policía militar disparara a un desconocido que amenazaba a los pasajeros con un cuchillo.
La policía militar aseguró en una nota que descarta que "el hombre tuviese motivos terroristas" con su agresión, y añadió que "aún no está claro qué pretendía" ni a quién amenazaba concretamente con el cuchillo.
Un portavoz de Schiphol informó a Efe de que la zona comercial Plaza, que se encuentra antes del control de pasaportes, fue acordonada y desalojada, aunque ya vuelve a estar abierta al paso de los usuarios tras la detención del agresor.
La policía militar abrió fuego contra este individuo, que amenazaba a los usuarios con un cuchillo, y lo hirió en una pierna, tras lo cual fue detenido y conducido a un centro hospitalario.
La estación de ferrocarril de Schiphol se mantuvo cerrada durante casi una hora por razones de seguridad, por lo que los trenes paraban en las estaciones siguientes, según la compañía de trenes NS.
Después del incidente, el aeropuerto funciona en estos momentos con normalidad, aunque permanece cerrada la zona donde ocurrió el incidente, confirmó a Efe la policía militar.
El Departamento Nacional de Investigación Criminal realiza las pesquisas sobre el incidente bajo la dirección de la Fiscalía nacional y se encuentra a la espera de poder interrogar al agresor cuando sea dado de alta en el hospital.
