La presidenta del PP de Madrid ha inaugurado la semana con un polémico artículo en el diario ABC sobre el método de designación de candidatos y líderes en el seno del partido. Esperanza Aguirre, con un extenso texto, reclama a la dirección nacional que se apruebe un sistema de elecciones internas que permita elegir a 'los mejores' para aplacar la desafección que los ciudadanos sienten hacia los partidos políticos.
María Dolores de Cospedal ha ignorado la petición de Aguirre asegurando —a las 13:00h del día— que no había 'leído' el artículo y que por tanto, no podía opinar. Con todo, la secretaria general del PP ha enviado un mensaje claro a la líder del partido en Madrid para zanjar el debate: 'El PP tiene un sistema de elección [mediante Congreso o Junta Directiva, máximo órgano entre congresos] que permite presentarse como candidato a quien quiera'.
Además de pedir elecciones internas en el partido, en su columna de hoy, Aguirre se suma a la posición conjunta mostrada hace tres días en otro artículo por los ex ministros conservador y socialista, Josep Piqué y Jordi Sevilla, que pedían un cambio de la ley electoral 'para acercar la actuación de los políticos electos al control de sus electores', añade la ex presidenta de la Comunidad de Madrid.
El artículo de Aguirre se publica, además, horas antes de que su sucesor al frente de la CAM y aspirante a revalidarse en las urnas, Ignacio González, acuda a un almuerzo-coloquio respaldado por la secretaria general del PP o la propia Aguirre.
