Veinticuatro provincias de las comunidades del norte se encuentra hoy en alerta por nieve, lluvia, viento o fuerte oleaje, informa la Agencia Estatal de Meteorología (Aemet).
El nivel naranja está activado por nevadas importantes en el centro y valles mineros de Asturias; en el centro y Valle de Villaverde de Cantabria; centro y norte de Navarra y Pirineo de Huesca, y por vientos de 90 kilómetros por hora en el norte de Castellón.
El riesgo de nevada es menor (alerta amarilla) en Lérida, Guipúzcoa, Vizcaya, norte de Guadalajara, norte y suroeste de León, norte de Palencia, norte y sur de Soria, sur y este de Segovia, centro y sur de Ávila, norte y este de Burgos y de Madrid, y sur de La Rioja.
También alerta amarilla por lluvias en Guipúzcoa, Vizcaya, Navarra y Cantabria.
El viento puede superar los 80 kilómetros por hora en el norte de Barcelona, norte y este de Gerona, centro de Tarragona y de Lérida.
Además se espera oleaje fuerte en las costas de La Coruña, Lugo, Cantabria, Asturias, Gerona, Guipúzcoa, Vizcaya, Mallorca y Melilla.
