Al menos 33 personas resultaron heridas hoy, 20 de ellas soldados, por la explosión de un coche bomba conducido por un suicida junto a un cuartel del Ejército iraquí en la ciudad de Mosul, 400 kilómetros al norte de Bagdad.
Según fuentes policiales, el agresor irrumpió en las instalaciones militares, situadas en el barrio al Qadisiya, en el norte de la ciudad, donde hizo detonar la carga de explosivos que se encontraba en el vehículo.
Entre los heridos, algunos de los cuales se encuentran en estado grave, hay también cinco policías.
Las fuentes explicaron que los agentes habían resultado heridos debido a que junto al cuartel se encuentra una comisaría de Policía.
Asimismo, subrayaron que la onda expansiva había causado importantes daños materiales tanto en las edificaciones castrenses como en varios edificios civiles de la zona.
Por otra parte, los artificieros de la policía lograron detonar de manera controlada otro coche-bomba localizado en esta ciudad, capital de la provincia de Nínive.
