El candidato oficialista a la Presidencia de Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, se consolidó como el más votado en las elecciones celebradas hoy, con el 46,57 por ciento de los sufragios, cuando se ha escrutado el 99,24 de las mesas.
Pese a su triunfo, el porcentaje alcanzado le obliga a competir por la Presidencia en una segunda vuelta, que se disputará el próximo 20 de junio con el aspirante por el Partido Verde, Antanas Mockus, quien hoy logró el 21,48 por ciento de los votos.
Santos duplicó la votacipn por Mopckus, pese a que las últimas encuestas sobre intención de voto antes de las elecciones habían augurado un empate técnico.
De los 32 departamentos del país, el que fuera ministro de Defensa en el Gobierno de Álvaro Uribe y artífice de los mayores golpes militares a las FARC ganó en todos menos en el selvático Putumayo (sur), el único en el que Mockus obtuvo la mayoría de los votos.
A Santos y Mockus les siguieron el candidato de Cambio Radical Germán Vargas Lleras, con 10,14 por ciento; el izquierdista Gustavo Petro, del Polo Alternativo Democrático (PDA), con el 9,16 por ciento; la conservadora Noemí Sanín, con el 6,14; y el liberal Rafael Pardo, con el 4,37 por ciento.
En cuanto a los otros candidatos que aspiraban a la Presidencia: Robinson Devia, del Movimiento La Voz de la Conciencia; Jaime Araújo, de la Alianza Social Afrocolombiana; y Jairo Calderón, de Apertura Liberal, no lograron entre tres ni el uno por ciento de los votos.
