El desfile al aire libre "Mujeres que trascienden", inauguró esta noche Cali Exposhow 2009, que tiene como invitado especial al diseñador dominicano Oscar de la Renta.
La feria, que se extiende por cinco días, reúne no solo a grandes modistos que presentan sus colecciones, sino que también acoge el VI Simposio de Cirugía Plástica y el V de Estética y Cosmetología.
El primer acto de Cali Exposhow 2009 se realizó al aire libre en una de las principales vías de la capital del departamento del Valle del Cauca en una pasarela de 30 metros de largo y que albergó a más de 1.000 personas.
Trabajos de Amalín de Hazbun, Judy Hazbun, los hermanos Rodríguez, Pepa Pombo y Mónica Holguín, entre otros, abrieron la muestra de la moda de Cali.
Además de los trabajos de consolidados diseñadores, la estrella principal del evento es el dominicano Oscar de la Renta, quien visitará Cali junto a su hija política Eliza Bolen y el esposo de esta, Alex Bolen.
De acuerdo con la organización, la gran gala del invitado especial será el próximo jueves, en el Centro de Eventos del Valle del Pacífico.
Ese día Oscar de la Renta exhibirá piezas de su colección "Resort 2010".
El modisto, que tiene líneas de ropa, accesorios, fragancias, vestidos de novia y trajes de piel, ha desarrollado su trabajo en España, Francia y Estados Unidos, en donde reside actualmente.
Por lo demás, Cali Exposhow tendrá, además de las pasarelas y de los eventos académicos, una rueda de negocios dirigido a público especializado y grandes clientes en la que se espera cerrar tratos de productos y servicios, a la vez que se tratará de establecer alianzas a largo plazo entre los integrantes de la cadena de la moda.
